Hello

Hi. I am Judith and I love taking photographs!

I spend a lot of time photographing cycling races, but I also enjoy photographing wildlife and nature and events all over the country.

Together with my daughter Gemma, I run Squirrel Images, a small business where we sell some of our images of wildlife, landscapes and the natural world.

My Story

My interest in photography started because of my Dad - I remember being fascinated as a child when watching him working in a dark room he had set up, where he printed black and white photos. When digital photography came along, he embraced it, and used to spend hours working on images he had taken.

I started with film photography, using it alongside digital photography when digital cameras started to come out. I moved to using a digital SLR camera when my husband bought me my first one as he was fed up with the film processing costs from my film SLR.

I started photographing cycling races when my son was racing regularly, and found that I loved it. Since then I shave spent a lot of my time photographing local road, track and cyclo-cross races, but have also been an accredited photographer at others such as the Cicle Classic, the Tour Series and the Mr Porter London Nocturne.

I enjoy wildlife and landscape photography as well, and together with my daughter Gemma, have set up Squirrel Images, where we sell greetings cards, prints, coasters, cushions and other gift items featuring some of the images that we have taken. We regularly visit new places in search of new images - any excuse to get out with the camera, really!

I am a volunteer photographer with the Woodland Trust and spend as much time as I can at Heartwood Forest and other Woodland Trust sites, photographing the landscapes and flora and fauna. As part of the monitoring work I am involved with, I photograph fixed points at Heartwood Forest 4 times a year, enabling us to keep an eye on the changes to the landscape over time.

I also photograph events on a regular basis for various businesses and charities, including the Carrie May School of Performing Arts, Verulam CC, Woodland Yoga and the Woodland Trust. These have included dance shows, award ceremonies, team launches, talks and presentations and other indoor and outdoor events.

I'm always looking for new and exciting opportunities. Let's connect.
